I'd go to Budapest. London and Paris have changed a lot in 20 years so put those on your list for after winter. Frankly, I'd go anywhere if I had the chance.

Fly mask as goggles cracks me up. Would those be called hoggles? (there are goggles for dogs called doggles).

She's so fun. She lovers her perch and looking out the window. I'm home today due to weather and the last time I checked on her, she greeted me, did a few rubs, and back to her perch. So she's feeling comfortable enough to start ignoring me. :D

Meet my new kitteh

ursala.jpg This is my new kitty, Ursala. I haven't had a cat since I was a kid. She is 12 years old and a real sweetie. I got her from the shelter on Saturday. She's in my second bedroom with her litterbox, water, and food. I visit her every few hours and she rubs and purrs and loves pets. She love...

Thank you Sunshine2Me

Thank you for my bounty of gifts! I love my P mug which will be perfect for the Starbucks cocoa. Which I will drink while reading The Secret History and wearing my socks. I will put my mug on the coasters.

Merry Christmas and thank you again for the thoughtful presents.

Re: Attractive winter riding boots?

Dubarry's are not meant for riding, and I'm guessing the Dublins may not be either. I have Dubarry's and I love them. Comfy, warm, but suede shafts that are not reinforced and therefore no support. I rode in them once or twice, just a hop on and walk, but I would never wear them for serious riding/s...

I'm going somewhere in Kentucky (for obvious reasons), or the PNW because I like dark and dreary. Truly, I have summer SAD. I don't like sunshine or heat--it depresses me. I'm also considering Urbana-Champaign because it is a cool college town and my alma mater.

What will happen (and has happened) is that standards for everything will be lowered, and work will be barely passable. Fortunately I will be dead before there is no longer a work ethic. Supposedly the millenials (20s to low 30s) aren't interested in "material goods" they want "experi...
