I can’t speak to silk comforters, but I’ve found a new love—wool! It’s much better than down at not shifting within the duvet, and it is warm in winter and cool in summer. Hi Xan, My instructor finally got back to me and didn't have anything for you. She did say that her clinician, a trainer from LA (originally Scottish), just made a trip to Ireland for the exact same horse you're looking for and came back empty handed. :(

My favorite horse of all time had a full sibling, she was the splitting image of him, exact color, size, conformation, movement. I never met her in person, so couldn't speak to her disposition.

Yes, different types of mag are more bio available than others (absorbable). The cheap kind like magnesium oxide isn't very effective, while magnesium maleate (kind in MagRestore) is very absorbable hence the reason it works better.

Trace clip! And a polarfleece cooler. Trace clipping my very hairy driving pony makes all the difference. She can work hard and be hardly sweaty when we're done. Before clipping, she'd never dry, despite coolers, etc.

Do at least the mane hair testing for type 1 it's only ~$50, and if that is negative I'd highly recommend the muscle biopsy testing for type 2 that was ~$200.
