Re: Trotting on to 2024 - Goals, Progress and More (Jan-Feb)

Aleuronx, those photos are beautiful!! We are still summer with some hot afternoons. We've finally moved. I think I did over 20 moves with the horse float, as we had about 4 tonne of split wood and 30 bales of hay and lots of outside stuff, like my working equitation equipment. The most stressful wa...

Re: Trotting on to 2024 - Goals, Progress and More (Jan-Feb)

I have to admit, I HATE working out. I find it boring--even when it's hard. So, I'm trying to do high intensity, short workouts. I've found some 20-30 minute HIIT workouts that I will try to do. They are boring and hard, but at least they are over quickly. Mee tooooo! I hate exercise! I like it aft...

Glad you're continuing on and finding ways to keep training them. The rearing wouldn't be fun at all, so it's good that you've got something to help Saiph w...

I"m hoping I'll be back riding by the end of Feb! Stupid back is taking a while to heal, but it's giving me time to slowly pack up the house and we will be moving in 4 weeks. I had to buy a new saddle for Norsey. Saddle fitting is so frustrating, different opinions from saddle fitter etc. Anywa...

Lovely photos Exvet I had a clinic with my instructor on the weekend. She was down for 6 days but I had a course on at work so I missed the first 4. I love just watching as much as I can. I took Ding for my lessons and we worked on straightness and back to inhand for his piaffe. It was cool, she too...

I tend to agree to take MM Blob. Only because you really want to assess the instructor to make sure they are what you want. I've become more fussy as I've gotten older as to who I get lessons from. They really have to suit you and your horses. RP - if in rehab, you want an instructor that understand...

I agree with Tanga, and I do find if my horse is getting resistant it's because I'm not releasing and I have too much of a hold.
