Re: Candy Crush - What level are you on?

Ack, I shouldn't have opened this thread. I didn't know what Candy Crush was so I loaded it on my laptop and the stupid thing is addicting. I'm only on level 18. But, that's just one day. When will it end? Omgosh ME TOO!! I don't like that you have to wait so long for your new lives. ...

Re: Introducing counter canter

For the counterbending (of the head and neck) at the canter, start small - Try a small counterflexion down the long side at the canter - keep your legs in the true canter position, and ask for the slightest counter flexion - so you get just a small turn of the head to the outside, while still canter...

Ok, I think it's awesome that we can STILL VIEW UDBB. Thanks for the link, drg! And I found my first post! July 23, 2005, defining "opening the hip". COOL! You can't post, but you can still search. Wonder how long it will stay that way...

Re: Dear creative DDers (?)

Michaels makes some nice shadow boxes. It might be fun to do a sort of shadowbox scrapbook of her, a 3D sort of collage with the photos and the shoe, and the halter, or maybe even just part of the halter, an old bit, or some old dressage tests (if you have anything like that) maybe the tail braided ...

I have orchids, DH has cacti/succulents. The majority of my collection is Phalaenopsis with no ID, but I have a couple of special ones too, not that I don't thoroughly enjoy the Phals and their beautiful flowers My favorite, a Neofinetia Falcata 'Akogare' I adore orchids, but I have had limited suc...

Kande, those rocks are wonderful! And I have so much smashed pottery that I've saved to make mosaics "some day"! I haven't done it in a couple of years, but I fell in love with pottery about 5 years ago, the wheel did not come naturally to me - it's taken awhile, but it has slowly gotten b...

Re: Introducing counter canter

Bending and counterbending down the long side while in true canter will help. Also counterbent turns at walk and trot (and then at canter when you can do them at the walk and trot) so that the horse learns that he can turn with his head/neck bent in the direction of the turn and also with them bent ...

Re: Ebay Find

What a find! That is SO COOL. I collect old metal frames, I like to hang them empty on my studio walls. I love the ones with interesting designs in the metal, and the little extra pieces in the corner. You can often find them at thrift stores for a dollar or two. Every once in awhile, they still hav...

Paula - I was a medical illustrator in Rockford! (I grew up in Champaign Urbana and went to school there and in Chicago!) And I discoverd rubber stamping a couple of years ago. It is soooo much fun. And the internet makes it even better, so many projects and ideas you can find online!

Tell us about YOU.

Because I can no longer look folks up when I get confused about who is who  , and because I sometimes get posters with similar screen names mixed up :) , I'm wondering if everybody wouldn't mind sharing a little about themselves - hobbies, interests, etc. so I can get to know you better. I'll s...

Yes, more stories and pictures! Even though I've been logging on pretty regularly to UDBB these past 10 years, I get still get some names mixed up. Holy cow, that third jump looks scary! I love how he's being SO tidy and careful with his front legs in the 4th one! Nice! I haven't jumped for ages (I used to do the hunters) but when I watch them schooling where I board, I want to play in that sandbox again!

Gorgeous horse, Amado! Tell me more about working on flying changes with a western trainer -sounds fascinating!
