Would a thinline pad help with slipping? I bought just the thinline pad and put it on top of my regular saddle pad and believe me it keeps the saddle in place even before you girth up. On my mare with a more forward girth and a bit of a barrel(Andalusian) - I tried the Thinline Contoured girth. I also used a Masterson Method body worker - she also used some other methods as well, and my horse loved it! She helped work out the tightness in her hindquarters.
