I went custom because I couldn't find anything that was flat enough to fit Crispin's back in the rear. Here you an see how flat the panels are and how the independent panel isn't attached to the sweat flap.

I went custom still had two weeks of trial before it was final.

Went through a lot of fitters and saddles before and whenever a saddle seemed worth a try I could keep it for a while (couple of days to weeks).

I love my small animal vet plus, she has actually quite reasonale rates. I finally found one that does guinea pigs really well and had bloodwork, x-rays and a quite an excessive abdominal ultrasound done. When I went to pay the girl was quite apologetic about the bill. Like Tanga, I too dislike knee rolls. I agree that they tend not to fit right and tend do more harm than good this way. IF you do decide to get rid of them I would sugest you get them changed on your saddle to velcro. That should be possible to do even on an older saddle and makes life so much easier.

I've been feeding grain free for years now. No specific reason other than my horse is a breed that tends to do better that way in the long run.
