I've joked before that I'm running the world's poorest-controlled experiment: What will happen to a congenial young horse's temperament when: - he gets all-day turnout with a posse of geldings after a life in a stall - he's gelded - he's fed better grain and hay than he's had before - he gets fit An...

Speeding is also a misdemeanor. In some states, so is talking on the cell phone while driving. The penalties applied to those illegal actions are much less severe than illegal entry to the US (detention, deportation, separation of families...). I see the spectrum here, not strictly black and white. ...

There must be something in the air this month. Earlier this week, Queso tried to jump the arena fence (~5 ft) and twanged off the light support and gave himself a heck of a bruise. He's luckily sound, but what on earth possessed him to try his hoof at jumping? Horses, man. He then compounded his rid...

This is an attempt to remedy the systemic issues that US Olympic athletes (among others) have faced from the Larry Nassers of the world. I was a working student at a barn that had a lot of Friesians (well, they had a lot of horses, period). Anywho, they had a couple FEI Friesian stallions, but all were retired from showing/riding by the time they were 16-18. Those poor horses really struggled in the heat and were tough to keep fit. A...

More Texas options: 2014 Holst (Cubito x Linero/TB) mare. Some cautionary language in the ad that might be a red flag: She is athletic and quick, but can be reactive to new stimulus.
