I'm in County Fair mode so no riding for me. Shoer did finally come out and put new shoes on the boys so at least no one is sore footed at the moment. Perhaps get a second opinion?

Stall rest is not beneficial for arthritis, walking is. I think you do not really know yet where the pain is coming from and I agree with MC that looking at the si joint would be a good idea.

Lovely photos y'all. I just had a great weekend with my ponies despite the heat, the swelling has finally come down from ds having all 4 of his wisdom teeth pulled and my 88 year old mother got to have a visit from my brother, her only son, for 3 whole days. Life is good right now.

Take 30-45 min to go do yoga or pilates or some such thing between work and going to the stable. That will get you stretched and ready to ride, and it will give Miss A time to process her grain.

I find really good ly to or from the centerline in walk is the best way to get Rudy to release tension. Can't wait for the rain to stop so I can try some of these cantering/fc suggestions. Forgot to mention that I did throw in t-c-t-cc-t exercises with Rudy on the circle and on the straight just for grins. Did it in walk too.

It's raining sideways, so no riding, but I did walk the dogs this morning.
