Re: Delta Airlines S...s

Hmmm.... I would not have expected an airline to take responsibility for an 87 yo with memory issues. Interesting that they do, and good on those that do it well.

Re: Fussiness with bits in double bridle

In my limited experience with the double, I find my gal is fussy if I'm not steady with the contact, while she's fine if I give her a place to settle. I think all the hardware intimidated me into trying to be "soft" especially warming up, and not taking a feel or giving away what I did hav...

Re: I must be the world's worst packer...

My DD has taught me that you really can wear the same outfits over again and no one really cares! That, and my love of a small-size carry on. I'll do anything to be able to use it instead of something even a little bigger, so I pack very carefully! No more extra pairs of shoes, no "what if"...

I hear ya, I'm the queen of the very tender rubs in very sensitive places! I ride in Ambrielle no seam undies (hi-cut) from JCPenney. No seams, very flat edges, very little to rub and bunch. I've discovered that if I don't yank they up too high, I don't get the "ligament" rubs. More import...

get the horse to use the top of the neck, take out the underneck, and not throw the contact away. This. My trainer uses "falling down neck" often, and it works for us. My girl loves to brace against the bit in upward transitions, and if I think about "falling down neck" I can ke...

Are these breeders posting racist/sexist/homophobic/fill-in-the-blank-ist comments, or are they just supporters of a political party you don't endorse? If the former, it might sway me to take my business elsewhere. If the latter, would you really remove half the population (give or take) from your l...

SQUARES!! Go figure, maybe THAT's why our mediums have improved of late! We've been doing squares in WTC to mostly to control the shoulders and keep straightness before and after, but side benefits have been greater thoroughness, collection and a wonderful lifting of my mare's prodigious "boobi...

I would include something to the effect of "sound with some clinical X-ray findings, hence the reduced price" This. It would cut down on the deluge of calls you're concerned about, explain the reduced price, give some warning but not details. I'd even elaborate on the "sound" bi...

I use a flash with my baucher. I've got a mare with a tendency to be a little pushy in the bridle, and the flash gives just a wee bit of reminder to be little more polite. It's not tight, and sometimes I ride without it.

Girth for Forward Girth Groove

While my saddle is otherwise a great fit for my horse and for me (and she goes fabulously in it), she has a forward girth groove and the billets are back a bit further than on most other saddles. So, the tendency is for the saddle to be pulled forward onto her shoulder. I've been using a Total Saddl...
