Yes. I've been actively following the KD for over 40 years and I don't remember anything like this. Phar Lap and Mine The Bird were both inexpensive and kind of flukes, but neither fits this bill.

Friends and I put on schooling shows for years. Get lots of volunteers and make sure you have a specific job and specific times. I loved it! And treat your volunteers like gold - they're worth it.

Ya know, looking more closely at the eranthus, I think my mom planted a boatload of those. Do people call them "Snowdrops" or something like that? I can dig a bunch from the folks' place. They spread like crazy and the deer leave them alone. Yay!

I started at schooling shows doing the lower level tests where things happen slowly. The judge will help. The abbreviations in the USDF Guide are a great help, but not necessary at the lower levels. My group used to do an annual schooling show and we typically employed L judges and typically paid $200, plus booked a motel room and picked up their dinner tab. And any food they chose on the show grounds. One judge became enough of a friend that she would stay at my house while I slept on the show...
