Re: Riding in southern Spain

In 1989 I rode in southern Spain for two weeks. The horses (Andalusians) and farm was a glorified dude-ranch, but after the staff realized I could really ride, they let me help with the stallions a couple times and that was REALLY fun. I went in late November and except for torrential rains one five...

Hi Clanter! (waving) Thanks for the tips and suggestions everyone. I did get insurance on this one; second $300 phone in two months. First one lasted four years before I tried to wash it. The other day I was enticing my men-of-mayham mutt into a pond and slipped and fell - with the new phone in my b...

From Bill Gates: "He knew my daughter Jennifer, because Trump has this horse show thing down in Florida, in fact he went up and talked to Jen and was being super nice," says Gates. "And then, like 20 minutes later, he flew in in a helicopter to the same place. So clearly he'd been dri...

I have three kayaks, all sit-in, none more than $500, most used going downstream, though all are fine on lakes without big winds. Seatback comfort is critical and the most expensive of the three has the most comfortable seatback. It also has the straps and bands that have lasted the longest. My frie...

Did the vet gain anything from your purchase of the mare? Without a solid history of the mare and the breeding, without you insisting on a more thorough exam before you acquired the mare, I'd chalk it up to a simple mistake. How did you "acquire" a supposedly-bred mare with no guarantee? (...
