Carlsbad is down by El Paso, might be worth adding to the list. Ruidoso is worth stopping for, about 2 hrs from White Sands, is a neat little town, they start racing May 10 and go through Labor Day and have some of the best QH racing in the world there. Guessing not many FEI horses do that, either. :lol:

I mean....what about Oklahoma? No one ever seems to want to live there, so costs are pretty reasonable. Lots of grass. The winters are pretty mild. Lots of great places to trail ride. Good dressage scene with lots of clinics and other horsie events. Look around the suburbs of the OKC and Tulsa areas...
