Maybe organic dairies (or most of their customers) believe that non-homogenized milk is more natural/more healthy to consume?

Susan, everything was looking really grim after our ice storm last week. Then, unexpectedly, a warm wind broke our temperature inversion, and all the snow and ice melted away pronto! I hope you guys get a similar break in the weather soon. Ice is so scary for man and beast.

Cross them. If the coupler comes off the ball, the trailer tongue will be supported by the chains instead of digging into the pavement.

Local law enforcement now is telling people to stay home and off the roads. The school district decided on a two-hour delayed start, and then decided Whoopsie, we're sending students home early at 1:50. We usually don't get ice storms here.

The weather has been strangely raw, for the desert; good soups seem necessary for dinner. Last night was butternut squash soup with ginger. I roasted/carmelized the onion and garlic with the squash before pureeing with the chicken broth.

I have the Voltaire and love it. I would say the fit around the arms is snug. Elastic panels run under the armpits to the lower seam. Separate elastic inserts run behind the arms up to a yoke across the back, which allow for good arm movement. You might want to size up to wear a thick sweater undern...

Last night I made a spicy tomato shrimp soup and a rustic/no knead, baked-in-a-Dutch-oven bread. It was a nice meal on our coldest night of the year. And it used up quite a few of the tomatoes that have been ripening inside after I picked them, prior to our first freeze a few weeks ago.

Maybe you could install your hot wire on extension insulators, halfway up the posts, to keep Fergus from rubbing on the fence - if you decide you need a hot wire? We use screws rather than nails on our fence.

Dapple Field, is the deerskin wearing out or the cloth material?

Polar fleece seems to last forever, so it would probably be fine to use. I have no experience using nubuck.

Yes, I usually sew the fleece patch on the inside. I have done a few on the outside, like in the shape of a star, if it seemed like a good place to have a bit of fun.

I patch breeches (and jeans and fly sheets) with thin polar fleece. Fleece stretches if you use a zigzag stitch, is soft against the skin, and is available in many colors.
