I saw a horse at World Dressage Masters in Geneva a few weeks ago, in the musical freestyle, that had the most awful flying changes I have ever seen. KWPN help

We have an imported Dutch gelding in my barn that is very highly regarded. So much so that there is interest in finding out if he has any full siblings or if his mother had any other offspring.

How could we go about looking into this? I personally have no affiliation with KWPN.

Need? Not sure. Mine has lots of blankets and sheets for both the purpose of layering as well as for backup.

Keep in mind we live in Texas. He has:

2 cotton sheets
1 stable sheet
1 turnout sheet
1 Medium weight stable blanket
2 fleece liners

Also fly sheet, wicking sheet, etc.

If I came across an ad that said discount to a show home, I would say I would show to get the discount because there is ZERO chance any seller would follow up on that in any way. This is not true, with centerlinescores.com. If they mean rated shows, which I assume they do. Maybe I'm just a nosy sor...

It's code for this horse needs to be in a trainer program in a show or training barn, won't do well in an unstructured environment. Tell them you are a serious rider who isn't going to keep it in your backyard behind a Strand of saggy barb wire and you'll probably be OK. And it can actually mean ex...

I also agree with the above posters. It is very easy to get down on ourselves, especially by comparing to others. As was said in particular - of course you want your trainer to ride your horse well! I concluded my November at home with some enjoyable and productive rides on Cartier. Fairly long walk warm-up, just a bit of trot and then tons of canter! Don't be alarmed by the double. Trainer ride first and then it was "don't touch the curb" for me.

My experience aligns with Kelo's. In a regular lesson program with a particular trainer, any given lesson could go over or under the time allotted. In a clinic, I would not expect to be cut short unless it was clearly in the best interest of the horse or it was mutually agreed.

In my experience, because the incidence of Lyme is very low in Texas, the vets do not have as much experience managing it as vets in other areas. I know my vet is not at all comfortable with the idea of managing a horse with Lyme, and I generally trust him implicitly with all of my horse's needs.
