Re: Any CrossFitters?
I've been doing crossfit for 3 years and I love it. Finding a good coach and learning the movements correctly will go a very long way to preventing injuries. And, check your ego at the door. You'll get beat by people older than you, people who may look less fit, etc. it's you against yourself. Know ...

I will be at the World Cup. I'm also from Omaha- grew up there and just moved away after another 8 year stint. I can recommend hotels, restaurants, entertainment, etc.

I have this one from Amazon. It works great and it's not too pricey. I've used it for zucchini, onions, sweet potatoes, etc. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00GRIR87M/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468870917&sr=1-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=spiralizer&dpPl=1&dpID=51IykptVsWL&re...

Re: Frustrated--seasonal allergies and treatment
Lung worms is what I figured out my guy got from the donkeys. May not hurt to try some appropriate wormer for lung worms if he hasn't had it in a while.
So frustrating.

Re: Frustrated--seasonal allergies and treatment
He doesn't happen to be around donkeys, does he? Sounds very similar to an issue I was having with my old arabian. We tried all sorts of things related to heaves and allergies as that's what the vet thought it was. I did some research and treated him for something else and he's fine now. No more cou...

Camp Dry. You can get it at Walmart or sporting goods stores in the camping section. It is a spray.

IMHO toll roads and turnpikes are different. You pay every x number of miles on a toll road. You collect a ticket when you enter a turnpike and pay a lump sum when you get off. In Illinois we have toll roads. You can pay cash (at manned booths) or use a transponder. If you have no money and you hit...

Weight loss is more complicated than the old calories in and calories out saying. There are hormones involved. Do yourself a favor and read the book Why We Get Fat by Gary Taubes.

Re: Myofascial release?
Myofascial release is good. I would also look for someone(generally a PT or chiropractor) that does ART (active release technique) and Graston (also called IASTM Instrument AssistedSoft Tissue Mobilization). Those treatments, along with dry needling) keep my body together through the beatings I put ...

Re: Still two more months til vacation and THIS!
Went to Nevis for my honeymoon. We landed in St. Maarten and then got on a terrifyingly rickety little plane with a flat tire for the short flight to Nevis. We were in the first row and could look into the cockpit area- there were switches and knobs that were wired and taped down so they couldn't be...

Re: To Ikea, or not to Ikea...Bookcase wall
IKEA stuff is great. I have several pieces in my house and office that look great and have not shown any wear- and the ones on my office hold some very heavy stuff. That said, shipping is generally pretty expensive so you may want to prove that out if you're not willing to go pick it up. And you nee...

Central Oklahoma. 6 horses and 3 burros (2 horses and 1 burro are moved at night) on I'm guessing 15 acres - perhaps more. It is mostly meadow with a pond and a couple acres of woods. Hay is being put out this week although the horses would probably be fine without supplementation for at least a few...

I do crossfit and I love it. I thrive on a schedule and the classes are at certain times each day so I know I have to get there for a class time. Each class is 1 hour consisting of warm-ups, some kind of skill work, and then a workout of the day "WOD" at the end that can be anywhere from 6...
