Re: Goals and progress, October and November

Gratz Flight!!! I have the opposite problem. I'm just a passenger! Watch the video and I'm like "I love my horse he just does what he's told lol", would be so much better if I actually rode him! I just tell him where to go and what gait to be in haha. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bUl30...

I think Red is trying to tell me he wants to go back to eventing! First cross country in 6-7 years at a local derby day and came 2nd!

There was supposed to be a photographer there (though didn't notice one) no pics yet :(

Goals these two months are, more forward/hotter off the leg, more throughness/softer in the bridle and hopefully by the end of the two months he's through enough to have good transitions. Combining these two the end goal for the two months are "first stride the same as the fifth stride" in...

I first got Red when I was 13 or 14 as a unbroken 3yo. My mum's ex gave him to my mum and he became mine. I had little experience with young horses (I had a 4yo pony when I was 8) and that's it. Now I am thinking about this from his perspective. How does he know the difference between walk bigger and a request for a transition to trot ?
