Re: Vets that DO NOT euthanize your animal

Technically, as a former animal health technician, you do not need to be with your animal at the end. They do not know if you are dropping them off for a spay or teeth cleaning. Being there is for YOU, they do not know they are getting put to sleep only you. Heck, they will not let you be with the d...

Vets that DO NOT euthanize your animal

On Youtube there was two news video on vets that got caught not euthanizing animals after they were asked to do so and paid to do so. One the dog was brought in because the dog was 10 and had some type of cyst that was bothering the dog and the vet took the money that the owner paid for euthanasia a...

Re: What can I tell people who ask how's your dog doing?

It sounds like you're upset because your aunt and uncle, who own the house you live in, visit periodically. Do you pay rent? If so I don't think they can evict you without notice (3 months?). If you live there for free and they want to move you into another one of their units than I would just get ...

Re: What can I tell people who ask how's your dog doing?

Well, they showed up a day early. They came in last night. During a rush of questions, my uncle did ask how my dog was. I think I gave a marbled "fine" and everyone moved on to other things. Normally, they are only here 5-7 days. This time they are here for 2 weeks. Normally, if my aunt ca...

Thank you all for your suggestion. This is not about a family Hallmark moment. This is about something else. My family owns several rental houses and apartments. What can I tell people who ask how's your dog doing?

I put her to sleep on Wednesday and I have family coming on Tuesday. It is not uncommon for my dog to have been in the back room sleeping. Most times nobody saw her cause she was sleeping. I am not ready to discuss this with anyone. I will not volunteer that she is gone, and I do not want to lie, bu...

How much should we expect from our senior animals and modern medicine?

Age brings basic body deterioration to almost all animals that live long enough. They are minor compared to kidney failure or liver damage. If you have a senior dog who can no longer jump into the car or on the bed, what would you expect from that dog if they were put on any arthritis medicine (you ...

Thank you, Flight. That is nothing compared to what I was scribing. I swear I was writing a lot more for each box. My only hiccup with horses

Dogs absolutely need to be with humans. It should be a crime to starve a dog for their human's affection. Some cats can take humans or leave them. It's not such a crime to say have barn cats that have no real human bond as long as they are cared for well and if they choose to be petted that's fine. ...

Assuming (big assumption) that one has as much time to ride their own horse as they would a lease, why would one situation be learning while the other was struggling? Because the leased horse is already doing a higher...

I haven't shown in the Western world since the late 90's and then there wasn't any background music playing on the showgrounds.

In dressage there is classical or jazz type music playing.

Why?
