Re: Once again...horses don't lie

Update: 30 days from our previous vet visit. The tear is healing but still has a seroma or hematoma or just fluid traveling along the muscle fibers. Vet says I can safely put her back into work in 60 days. She no longer kicks or pins her ears when you touch her side but if you push hard she will sti...

Glad you got to the bottom of it, and hope your lovely mare is feeling better. How long will this take to heal? Vet said up to 12-18 months. We are about 7 months out from when I first started trying to figure out what it was. I take her back for a recheck on Monday. I'll give you an update. Hoping...

I am going through the same thing. My usually cheerful, forward pony is grouchy and defensive. I am working through body work, saddle fitting, checking for ulcers. Have to do one at a time so I know what works, it's a slow process. How on earth did you discover this muscle tear? We have a veterinar...

Once again...horses don't lie

She seemed a little better with the ulcer medicine but not a drastic improvement. She seemed sensitive on her side where her dorsal colon would be so treated her for ...

It doesn't look like the Texas club is very active at all. I would have to go to Oklahoma for shows so not sure it would be worth it. I don't see anything like the Paint Horse association has where they can earn PAC points at open shows.

She's a buckskin. Sadly I can't register her because of one of the things that I find beautiful about her. She as some cream colored hairs in her mane that make her ineligible.

Although I love QH and have a pretty decent one I really don't think you will do well in the upper levels with a stock type horse unless they just have exceptional gaits for a QH. Morgans are starting to breed more color and I've seen some Palomino Morgans that are gorgeous. Might be a possibility?

Does anyone have a Schleese saddle with an Adaptree? If so how do you and your horse like it. I've been drooling over their western saddle with this technology but the jury is still out for me on any kind of flex tree. Would be interested in hearing your or your friends experience with these saddles.
