I have a Nesco too, 5 bucks from a flea market. It was missing the rack, so another 8$ for that, then I decided I needed the manual, so another 6 for that--and last week I discovered that I left the cord in Vermont. Sigh, my 5 dollar roaster is gonna cost me almost retail soon!

Not ground cover, but useful and you can plant them in a few months--- leeks and garlic and other alliums?

YAY for a new kitty!! We just adopted a tiny black kitten from craigslist. Free and five months-----um, no, not even close. My mom would have been 87 on monday. She was a child of the depression in the bronx and would get one glove for her bday and one for christmas, same with socks and shoes.
