It just seems that way. I know more about founder than I ever wanted to know and now I think I am getting acquainted with "heaves" or "allergies" as the vet calls them. If you all have experienced this with your horse could you tell me what you do or if you have any suggestions?

Your rolls sound interesting, Kande50. We've had quite some tough weather lately so I haven't been as attuned to cooking and baking as I usually am. I did make spaghetti and meatballs 2 nights ago. It was lovely knowing it was simmering on the stove for us when we were ready for it.

A sink in the feed room is a very handy thing to have. I have double sinks with hot and cold water and butcher block counter tops. I am always cutting, slicing or washing something off. I don't think you'd regret putting it in while you can and once you start using it probably think how you ever did...

Today I am making and have just put in the oven Ina Garten's Beef Bourguignon. I took a little taste just before I put it in the oven and it is already delicious. The kitchen smells so good! We'll have just as Ina Garten presents it along with a salad. Homemade fruitcake for dessert.

What I usually do is adopt an elephant for a year for someone who is hard to buy for. The Elephant Sanctuary is in Hohenwald, Tennessee just a hop and a skip from me. Then they get updates throughout the year on "their" elephant. They have cameras so you can watch the elephants.
