Re: In which I'm reminded how much horse shopping sucks!

I have a friend up in Petaluma who has purchased a couple of event prospects from Ireland for all of the reasons you're stating in this thread. It ended up costing her a lot less than buying here. Maybe you two should chat...

Re: Further adventures with the Instant Pot

I have been wanting to make my own bone broth. But... where is this magical Ranch 99? I've never heard of it! (I live in Oakland...) Rockabilly's post reminds me of bone broth. I went to Ranch 99 and got a lot of beef neck bones, roasted them in the oven, and then threw them into the IP with some wa...

I hate to say this, but it doesn't surprise me at all in this area. It's so very frustrating. And some of the stuff I saw when we were working at a bunch of different barns around here...

Re: Goals and progress January Febuary 2017

Went to the Bettina Drummond and Colonel Patrick Teisserenc (head rider at Saumur) and really enjoyed it. Loved Col Teisserenc, he was so much about a long neck and relaxation, reminded me so much of Mark. He would have the rider reach up with both hands to stroke the neck giving a big release each...

Sauteed red cabbage with ginger. Fried green tomatoes. Grass fed New York Strip steaks. Mushrooms sauteed in butter and sherry. All accompanied by a nice North Coast Pinot Noir. I can barely move...
