Look at the manufacturer's feeding recommendations (on the feed sack) for your horse's weight and work situation. Almost back to normal today. Charging around head throwing canter like his bad ass self. Seems like it can go like this fast onset fast cure with the right pricey in this case antibiotic. Putting the ice boot on daily as there’s still some residual swelling.

My vet said no it can happen from foal hood on. Only other one of our herd of 14 there that had it was 4 at the time. Mine has his own round bale covered in a nibble net. Almost all our horses except a laminitis prone pony do. We have no staff per se at our place my coach is only there a few full days a week so we had to make it as self sufficient as possible.

What a beautiful experience! I know someone around here (S of Calgary) who has imported Icelandics she rides out in the dead of winter. Of Course! I think she has the highest rated mare in N.
