I dont really want to buy more if Texas is warmer. What layers would I realistically need for a Texas winter? Is it worth buying or should I just walk around in a tent? What part of Texas are you moving to? The climates are quite different in the different regions! If you're moving to south Texas o...

An update...a friend just bought this youngster from this group. He had just (and I mean 'just') been lightly started under saddle so she (amateur) hopped on for test ride. https://www.facebook.com/jody.swimmer/videos/10215876418257477/?t=25 8-) Isn't that the gal who has done so well with the ASBs...

Changes are so hard. Good for you embracing it and making steps forward. Western dressage -- NOT COWBOY DRESSAGE -- is good, though. Look over the Western Dressage Association of America (WDAA) tests, I bet you can have a lot of fun working them. It really is dressage in western tack. (Cowboy Dressa...

Keep his registered name. Use it for his show name too. Use whatever name you want for a call name, he doesn't care. I will tell you why: 1. I realize dressage competitors have their own naming traditions, and thus QH names seem "odd," but QH names have a tradition, too. His name is, in ma...
