Well, Chance - sometimes these morph into New Year's cards, which is fine with me. I enjoy getting a bit of cheer in January, too. And, there are 12 days of Christmas. Just saying!

Are winters cold where you live? If so, polar fleece breeches (mine are from Tropical Rider), warm riding gloves, good wool socks (Smart Wool, Darned Tough).

Briarwood - I never would have thought of freezing cucumbers! Do they stay crispy or become mushy when defrosted?

I would say No, not safe to eat. Fireworks contain various metal to create their pretty colors. I would clean up the mess as best you can. Sorry you have such inconsiderate neighbors! One dish I'm making for tomorrow night is a sweet potato pikliz; it needs to marinate overnight. Grated or sliced sweet potatoes, red onion, radishes, turnips, garlic, and green chile in vinegar-lime marinade. DH surprised me by giving it three thumbs up the first time I made it.

I have a pair of Aanstadt Das French terry breeches that I like, from way back when. Sonya is still selling breeches on Etsy. She at one point developed quite a reputation for taking your money and never delivering, so buyer beware!

Oh, that is beautiful! We use Olay Ultra Moisture Body Wash which comes in a plastic pump bottle. I don't think it leaves a scum, but our tile has a matte finish and gets wiped down regularly - so not sure.

Ceramic bottles would not be a good idea for us; we're both klutzy!

I believe that arrangement is for when you want to drop the curb reins to the horse's neck and work only with the snaffle reins. You can slide the keeper down so the curb reins at a safe length.
