Chiming in on the bloating topic I have two in my care that cannot be on pasture because the green grasses , especially in this bizarre early spring, cause horrible gas, to the point of bloat. They are on a largely hay diet, and the low sugar hay. Just to add to the arsenal of information.

Two things to consider. Are you pushing her away when you step into the left stirrup. Once I step into the left stirrup I immediately remove all weight from my right. I will then if need be halt the horse . Back the horse up. Dismount remount. But I never stand with one foot on the mounting block an...

Yeah well, unfortunately Saiph"s back is so short the saddle fits her. Kimba"s saddle and my one i had on caliburn are an inch bigger. My saddle fitter has nixed anything longer and sadly Saiph agrees with the saddler not me.

It's been the most lovely February days. Warm enough to ride outside so I've been schooling in the full size dressage arena. It was such a nice day friends left work early and kept arriving to ride with me. Lol.

Your lambs are very cute, especially that blazed faces. Mine are Katahdin. Dorper, Black Belly Barbados crosses, all hair sheep because I am not fond of shearing. I do use the mounted hair for wrapping legs . I'll share a couple of favorite pics

I was able to ride five horses including the green bean brood mare rehab, Honey. I have to get up to 8 to be able to work my own more consistently. However im.optimistic because I am getting there. Basically. Mine has an 8 week lay up so I am.simply starting basic fitness and basic basics lol.

It is actually 1 ( -17 C ) and feels about 20 (-28 C ) degrees colder. It's truly crispy. ( walking on broken glass) . My dog decided going outside was not an.option. grrr.
