And now, as I really expected, NO RAIN. None for well over a month. Lawn and fields are turning yellow. No rain in the foreseeable forecst either. <sigh> This is the standard for my area. I can pretty much guarantee it that once the rain starts (and it will), then it will be days and days of it and ...

If my math is correct, that's about 9x13 feet. Is this going to be only a tack room or a combined feed/tack room. Later I will try to get you a pic of my tack room which is a similar size. [Agreed-- but I can see how it could help for some horses. My rehab for my GP horse was very careful, but that's what made me realize that he got to be much more even in both reins (due to pushing off both hind legs equally). That may be why the programs that gave winters off back in the day were able to get back to where they had been fairly quickly-- all the training is there, you just have to rebuild strength (and you have the opportunity to do that in a systematic and even way). I don't buy into that, but it's my op...

Judges are ordinary people just like us. I think most all try to be honest, but lets face it, they have their pet peeves and preferences just like we do. If we want more or better pasture we mow and fertilize more often, but with our current herd more weeds and coarser grass is a good thing so we only mow the pastures once and then let them go. As far as the Glossary of Dressage Terms used in this country is concerned, “rhythm” means only one thing, which is the characteristic footfalls of a specific gait: four beats for walk, two beats for trot, three beats for canter. That makes talking about rhythm very simple. Tempo, on the other hand...
