Re: Long Shot - to save the piggies

But, if this is a "disease" (hoarding of animals), will fines or jail time really "cure" them? I suspect that as soon as they get out, the pattern of behavior will continue, possibly even in another location/state. Thank heavens there are places like LOH to help clean up the mes...

Josette, thank you for donating. As I said, I don't mean to make this a charity drive, since that's not what this board is about. I definitely can't look at photos or read articles anymore about conditions hoarded animals live in. It's a disease. And it's one that is swept under the rug. Probation a...

Kelo has some good insight. And I totally get the "alpha" animal because I have an Alpha mare. She came into her power at about 4 years old and hasn't really be questioned in any herd since (now 27). She just walks in and everyone says "yes, ma'am" even though she's 14.3. Very su...

I buy cards, often giving them as gifts to horsey friends. It's so important that the horse stuff be right when giving to horsey people! Anyway, I like 16 card sets with 4 of each photo. I like the color one better because the b&w screams "wyld stallionz" to me. Also, the color one looks more dressage-y (IMHO). I still buy notecards and other things with horses. But only things that feature greys. This is actually his "wyld stallionz" shot.  : htt...

HEY THANKS FOR THE THREAD! We are always happy to see pictures, which we can count on from you. I've discovered a lot of horses move better in a western saddle, no matter what the weight. Another trick I learned from dealing with western tack is to use a dressage saddle th...

We just bought a Whirlpool front load and love it. However, after buying (before delivery) I found a comparison article that ultimately put Kenmore on top. I think Kenmore is made by Whirlpool, so I'm not too upset. But you might want to look into Kenmore.
