Cost of living here is very high. Sales tax is 8.25% but taxes on my 4 bedroom colonial are 14k now. I do love the weather and proximity to the beach and NYC. Culturally speaking it's the best. Great schools too, and great doctors and hospitals. But I don't think I can afford to retire here.

Horses can do OK completely blind. At least, some of them can. If he had a companion horse or donkey with a bell, that does work as a seeing eye horse. I am sorry for him but if he has a good mind he might do OK.

The guys at my barn were also great with the horses and worked very hard. Everyone did tip them very well so I think they did OK in that regard.

I have not been on this board for a while. Hope you are doing better now. My father had hospital acquired MRSA it he had to stay in the hospital on IV AB's for weeks.

I agree about the blood work, and also, unless the vet told you to give your horse a double dose, my vet told me several times that more is not better with this drug.

Wearing the belt with breeches last night was great. My breeches stayed up and the belt didn't break.... And I did 3 canter transitions Woo-HOO.
