We did ribs smoked over charcoal today and finished with a homemade chipotle bbq sauce. Collard greens braised with beer and bacon grease, and a pan of homemade cornbread with butter on the side. Sooo good.

You might ask them about shoes. You'll want something with traction on a wet deck, but they might have requirements to prevent scuffing (no black soles, etc). Bring a good wind breaker and dress in layers. Pack some waterproof pants and wear quick-drying pants too if you have them. And a small towel...

Straightforward - I think I tried the Blundstones on in the past, and I didn't like the chunky feel, compared to my Ariats. I also could not get the right fit - one size was too big next size down was too small. I can see that! I'm holding my pair of size 8's here while the pair of 7's is shipped. ...

Hey straightforward, have you tried artichoke? This is our 2nd year growing it and it is loving the cool wet spring we're having. We bought a Bissell Liftoff a few years ago and really like it. It's nice being able to clean up the high-traffic areas without all the hassle of schedule and waiting for a pro, moving furniture out of their way and all that. It was around $250, so it's easily paid for itself.

If not for riding, have you looked at the Blundstone "dress" boot? They also have a women's boot now that is a little cleaner around the ankle. I just bought a pair, and they are clunky looking in my size (11), but would be cute in a smaller size. They actually run large and I'm going to o...

What's an xeriscape garden? It's a low water use garden; xeric is a sciency way to say dry. We only get 10-12" of rain here annually, so keeping a green lawn is a PITA and a huge waste of water. So I've converted most of my front yard to heat and drought tolerant plants (many of them native sp...
