Re: What is your opinion about this?
Yikes, i'm a cart abandoner! I should check for wayward items! I always go up and down the aisles in the same order, if I realize I forgot something I will often pull over, 'park' and run back to get the single item vs doing a U turn and taking the cart back and forth.... It's not as if we roll up ...

i say Excuse Me a lot --tone of voice varies-- and i smile a lot; imo, no one really wants to be there, and we're all in the same boat/trolley/cart/buggy. and some of the best cashierline conversations have been with someone i initially saw as REALLY irritating. and i'm with literiding-- those in a...

Maybe she parked where she did because it was the only place that would not be destroying grass?
Why does she have to drive there, ie to the paddock/pasture, to begin with though? Curious.
But there are bigger fish to fry than this.

Re: Boarding question
Orono, I think OP noted the recent increase because Wheresmywhite wrote 'Maybe BO hadn't made up their mind? Maybe BO has raised board in over 5 years?'. OP I think any well run business should know what and when their board will increase and inform boarders of that as well in advance as they can, w...

Re: Lost my best horse..horse hair jewelry?
I have hair from Yo and Melly that I have been trying to figure out what to do with, the bracelets and things just aren't something I would likely care for well, and therefore would never wear them. Recently saw these and think I will get 2 to fill with each of their hair, they have a rubber ring so...

Re: Free Feeding with slow feeders
I've had good luck with the Nibblenets. I've been using them for several years now with Bermuda grass hay. Although the Warmblood and thoroughbred are pretty slow eating when using them, with several years experience, the quarterhorses have gotten faster/better at eating out of them. It takes the q...

Somewhere I have a cute lil cob size Dressage bridle with flash... I think it has rubber reins... but it was/is also cheap.
I can look for it if you are interested.
Otherwise congrats on your re-entry into the adventure of Dressage!

Wheresmywhite - I am afraid of guns because they can/do kill. Well, the gun doesn't, the person shooting it does...but, you know what I mean....It's a piece of dangerous equipment that only those trained should use. Its a danger to children when a guardian does not put it safely away, its a danger ...

Re: Las Vegas Shooting
Finally, to the argument that 'regulations don't work'... I ask, then WHY have so many been in a tizzy for the last 8 years, convinced that Obama would rescind the 2nd amendment and was comin' for their guns? If regulations don't work, why were so many convince that one would? Because regulations o...

I'm still trying to understand how he was able to bring such a huge amount of weapons and ammunition into this hotel unnoticed???? Did the bell hops assist him in bringing his luggage to the room? iirc he was there for a period of time, ie he came and went over a series of days. Add to that that ma...

Re: My only hiccup with horses
Yo and I were like this... X He was not a snuggly sort, unless he was sick, but the trust he put in me said everything because he was one who felt he had to take care of himself most of the time. There's something really special about a horse who adopts you as their person. Melly came to see me that...

Re: Melania's shoes?
No, I was not suggesting she has done anything noteworthy lol. I think she has done less than any "first lady" in my lifetime in terms of using her platform to impact society. Unless you count keeping people riled up about fashion choices. I think I was unclear with what I was saying in m...

Re: Would you compare yourself to a dressage master?
I'm not sure how to take a few steps in the direction of 'tooting' without it being too uncomfortable or unattractive. I think the most effective ways may be the tried and true ones? Become involved in activities offered by organizations that are in the business of ranking participants (hopefully a...

Re: Melania's shoes?
Is anyone else disturbed by the intensity of attention paid to Melania Trump's wardrobe? So what if she wore stilletos to a hurricane zone, or stepped off the plane in Puerto Rico in hiking boots? It is nothing but sexism that anyone thinks this matters. As the president's wife she can expect to be...

Re: Would you compare yourself to a dressage master?
Thing is, most people who have any sense know that the greats don't toot their own horns, and usually you need some sense of humility to get places in life. I don't know this guy, but seems he doesn't get it. The way someone explained it to me is that there was a time in her life when she was compl...

Re: Would you compare yourself to a dressage master?
It's an interesting thing to think about, from the npd on one end and something like imposter syndrome on the other. While I think it's common (among women) to lean towards humility, in reality I don't see it rewarded in my daily life compared to people with blithe confidence in themselves, even if...

Re: Would you compare yourself to a dressage master?
I never think I am good enough... and I sure don't need people pointing out my flaws to see them, glaringly, myself! Me too. I'm extremely hard on myself. I've been hard on others with my comments, but not nearly as hard as I am on myself. I make the mistake of thinking that people want to hear wha...

Re: Would you compare yourself to a dressage master?
The guy is nuts. Many who know little get fooled into thinking they know enough or much... and then they learn more and realize they will never know enough. I'm not sure I ever thought I was 'good' or good enough. I know that I've come a looooong way, baby. I know that there are some who would blow ...

Re: Do you own a rental property?
Because we live in NY, and the rest of the family left the area, DH and I were the managers [for the most part] of MILs rental here. It is not something I would ever do again. I think to make any money at it, you have to have the skills to fix/manage things yourself or the rent has to be high enough...
