Yes, I find it much easier to collect on a circle and I always start preparing too early so my horse wants to stop before the 1/4 line.
I don't like the simple change in the 3.2 after the counter canter, that's worse I reckon!

Great work Klark_kent. I'm hoping for that on Sat.
Any pics/vid? It's good seeing others that are doing the same tests. I'm doing 3.1 and 3.2 on Saturday.

I've never even thought about wrapping for warmth, although after seeing and hearing people riding in snow and minus beyondcold degrees, I thought I'd better not comment!

I've got this problem too, it's come out now that I'm asking for more. Be careful that you're not holding or hanging on too much so they can lock onto the bit and be defensive. It's hard not to sometimes. I've started doing the stuff Galopp has outlined. I've had to go back a good few steps to help ...

Klark_kent, her place looks fabulous!!! Thanks for the website. She sounds well set up for working students too. Yes, we do jump. What I dont understand with cavaletti/poles etc, is do they still have that 'jump' in their stride when they're not going over them? Or is it more that you strengthen them by doing it, so they then have it to offer? Ingrid Klimke does it, right? Thanks, that does make me feel better...
