My flying changes stuff is pretty boring now! Just asking for them occasionally when his canter feels ok and only doing one or two per session, so he only does them when asked.

I started with an older aerowear body protector and now have a Vipa. The Vipa is much more comfy. Definitely try some on if you can.

I rode my older horse in a double and it was like having super powered steering! I had to be so so careful with what my hands were doing! Pretty cool isn't it

Bummer Sue B! I'd finally managed to get a saddle fitter down and get a new saddle for my guy and he went and cut his leg, needing sutures! Always the way. I haven't made the trip up to Clarendon yet to compete in any of their dressage comps (I live south) but it's a nice venue and yep some big names and beautiful horses! But I'm sure once you've done a few you'll feel ok

Astral, that road pic reminds me of a very pretty "walking dead' road.. you know they are always on those roads with trees on either side. Except the trees are always green (no idea if they would be colourful trees).

I don't think it 'looks' crueler than dressage rollkur. While it does look very odd to me, it looks like minimal effort (correct me if I'm wrong, anyone with western pleasure experience) there's hardly to no pressure on the reins.
