I just finished season two of "Jane the Virgin." I love this show! It's hilariously funny, sweet, gorgeous to look at, and completely insane.

I've tried several kinds of Daiya and wasn't crazy about them. This Chao is a world apart. You're a good sister to accommodate your brother's lactose intolerance. Try the Chao -- your brother will thank you!

My mother, her older sister (my aunt), and my grandmother. My mother died a little over two years ago at age 97. My aunt turned 103 on January and still has all her marbles and is in darned good health.

Yes, that would be great. Smaller (16, 16.1) and on the narrow side are plusses. The mare is 16.3 (we sticked her) and she really is too big. Riding wasn't a problem, but grooming and holy smokes heaving the saddle up there were a lot of effort.

Now that I've sold the mare I purchased last August and my old guy was euthanized in December, I'll probably start looking for a horse when the weather breaks. I learned some good lessons with the last purchase, so I think I have a better chance of things working out well. At least that's my hope.

I collect and freeze anything that I can use when I make stock. Bits of onion, including skin, wilty scallion greens and the little root ends, celery remnants, bones/skin from cooked chicken, any skin/fat removed from chicken before cooking.
