I am very glad he is ok. Im sure it was scary like hell!

But the hose is a bad idea as aspiration is very real.

I also suspect maybe the teeth float changed his bite just enough to do this...but I too would be careful.

I give it separately, just in my hand, with a small amount of grain (Carboraider Complete or Triple Crown Sr) and he eats it out of my hand. Its never been any issue. I don't want to put it in his bucket of supps, this way I know he actually eats it.

I loved living in Summerfield/Greensboro NC. Easy winters, better summers than Raleigh. Southern Pines is great with sandy year round natural footing. I also like Advance and Mocksville. I have dear friends in Granbury TX, Austin, and Houston. Really terrible summers. I would never have horses there...
