Re: Will Faerber again

It's less damaging on the skeletal system than RK, but not going to teach them much. I would argue otherwise. The weight on the front legs alone is problematic. I doubt a horse trained in this fashion is going to stay sound long term. Sure, it's not helpful but not in the same league as RK. Still l...

Re: Will Faerber again

It's just so repulsive to me to place a horse's head and more importantly balance in such an unatural position whether you're on contact or not. The horse is dumped down on the forehand and all the energy is going into the dirt. The antithesis of dressage. No different than rolkur. It's less damagi...

I had not heard of any of this so checked out some videos. Puke. How could anyone watch this for more than 2 seconds and think it was a good way to ride a horse? Yes, several times. It always worked out well. Once or twice I did a PPE but not always. Once the horse was a hand shorter than reported but the seller honestly didn't know...I let it go.

If you have a good sense about the seller, and can see the PPE, I would go for it.

They call it functional integration, or somatic education...not the Feldy people but other body workers. It wakes up and/or creates new neural pathways from muscle to brain. It uses non habitual movements/patterns to do so. I was so skeptical of it but saw Mary transform a horse in front of my eyes....
