Mine don't squabble but they are both not dominant types. There is plenty of grass in the summer and I have hay in 3 locations during the winter so there's no need to squabble. The hardware is out of the way and so far the doorframe have been okay.

You are just too nice for your own good. Practice saying "No" and after a while it will come easier for you. The more you say "No" and are pleasant and firm about it the easier people will take it. People will just take advantage of you and it's up to you to draw the line. It to...

Re: Getting the work done in a small barn? Please help!
Lots of good advice. I would advise that you sit down and figure out what exactly you want to get out of having horses at home. Then list ways to make that happen. Then make a plan and execute it. It may lead to some dififcult decisions (evicting boarders, selling horses) but right now you are not g...

I love that you considered options, consulted with your vet and then retired your horse so he could be happy. I'm glad that you didn't try to sell him or place him where you wouldn't know what happened to him. He's a beautiful horse and your love for him is clear.

HI guys, My older, neurological gelding is pretty much incontinent of urine. The previcox has helped reduce it but he still does it. His back legs are mess of sticky, black gunk. It's hard- people want to drag you into drama triangles but they are never productive. My only advice is to be so neutral that you are of no use. For example, if someone comes to me to complain about something that another person is done I usually start with 'what did they say when you talked to the...

The woman who I bought my horse from forwarded an email about her colour genetics: She is Gg (heterozygous for grey) meaning she has a 50% chance of producing a grey foal no matter what the base color is BB, (homozygous dominant black) means she carries 2 dominant genes for producing black pigment A...

I had a farrier make a mistake with the shoeing and caused me to have the vet out (trimmed too short and used a shoe with a toe clip). That's a tough one and it depends on what want to do. For me I would use the saddle pads and halter -it would be nice to remind myself of my old horse while riding my current horse. The brow bands I might keep (to use) or donate to a local schooling show for prizes.
