I was thinking of a red pad because of this browband, which was an impulse buy when I was at their event weekend before last. The green pad with emerald brow band is gorgeous! Sapphire would be nice too with blue pad. I'm thinking red more for a dark bay or black horse. So there are 2 common themes underlying my recent rash of purchases: 1. Cartier has a lot of hand me down stuff. From Kuper, Brio, even Ynse I think. Not exactly what you are saying, but I am becoming more sensitive lately to people around me making comments such as "she must be bipolar" or many variations on that theme. Some very much in jest and some with a diagnosing feel to them. My dad is bipolar. Some people know that; others don't.

Do stops actually help you keep the same rein length? I use lace reins ( yes, a PITA to clean) and I do loose my reins. Not me. At least not in reality. My trainer will say "shorten your reins to the 4th stop" (for example) and so it does have some usefulness. But then I lose them anyway.
