Re: Great blanket sale - if you have a big or small horse especially!

I too LOVE my Rambo's - that's pretty much all that I have for them. I did buy a heavy weight Amigo for my retiree and it fits a bit better than his Rambo (which we gave to his smaller "sister"). He's got a hay belly and the Amigo covers it more than a Rambo. Maybe because the Amigo's are ...

I'm older too - I was lucky to have a very understanding trainer for my crazy assed mare and my insecurities. She never yelled at me, though I do think I frustrated her at times. I recently took a couple lessons from a late 30 year old and she was very kind and understanding, she never yelled. She w...

Re: I was asked about shareboarding Miss A.

Do not feel guilty. I have to say I would never share either of my horses, unless I financially or health wise had to do it. I spend more time grooming and bonding with my horses than riding, I'd be afraid someone else would just ride and go. That's really not what I want for them. They both are ver...

This is the 4th increase in just less than 2 years. The total amount in that time is around $100. Which isn't bad. You are responsible for buckets, fans, heated buckets.

But, an increase a month after moving in with no warning is the part that bothers my friend.

Ok - I see the point of boarding being month to month - I guess since I've only moved twice in 16years. Been at the current place 12 years! I'm not one to move so I didn't "see" the month to month side. IMHO - I think a new boarder should have a window of time to pay the quoted price befor...

Boarding question

If you moved your horse to a barn and within 30 days the price was increased by $25 or $50 a month would you expect them to hold your agreed price before they passed on the increase to you? I just saw this happen to someone and I felt the original amount should have been held without an increase for...

I go with Ariats too. I don't' ride in them. I will say I bought a pair a few months ago and the leather is stiff on them, they do have a nice square toe box, but I'm use to my old Ariat Crowne paddocks that were super comfy. Hopefully, they will break-in soon.
