Re: "Experienced" Riders

Five more years for me and my guy to qualify. There's a good chance we will make it. I'm fairly sure I will still be able to ride in five years (albeit maybe usdf w/t :D ) Not sure how my horse will hold up. However, it is not a goal and I would not do it. It's actually a joke amonst the younger be...

Re: Creaky. What to do?

Movement is critical for me or I get super stiff. Walking helps alot plus trying to get a few pounds off. Aleve for major discomfort. Melatonin if I can't sleep. All of that for me as well. I just started going to a group class "Zen Blend" a mix of yoga, TaiChi and Pilates. My gym has gre...

Re: Senior gals with senior horses

Westi, that all sounds promising. Why did you miss two days? Just not up for it? What is your weather like at this time? We're having some beautiful weather. It is warm in the daytime, but drops a good bit overnight. One night it went down to 39. My horse will not go to pasture if there is any chan...

Re: Senior gals with senior horses

Hadn't been out for two days and I was feeling somewhat unsure of myself after Saturday's wind up the tail workout. It was cool but sunny my coach rode him today and he looked wonderful. I had turned him out in the indoor arena first and he was 100% calmer today. After Saturday I had been wrestling ...

Yes its this in addition to the Seniors thread? I've had only 23 or so years of experience and I'm 67. There are 40 year olds with more than that. Not sure what senior is anyway, over 55? We know who we are.
