Bones take forever to heal. Eight weeks may as well be a day in the process. It's nothing. Store away the small breakthroughs (able to hold 3 horses for farrier; walked to the mailbox w/o pain, etc) to remind yourself that there is improvement during the down times. Are you in physical therapy? I ba...

What about sedum? There are several varieties that do well in low light. I've encountered quite a bit growing wild in shady areas. And it's perfect for arid areas -- it grows native in dry central Washington. I didn't know hellebores were toxic. I'd say that explains the rash I get when clearing out...

Giving vaccines to my grandmother's herd of partially feral cats made me a huge fan of towels or pillowcases ... with a second one to kneel on. I ride in the early morning before work, when the temperature is lower, but humidity is often higher. Generally I'll ride all summer.
When I rode after work, we'd often skip rides because it's just too hot. Summers in the DC area -- 100+ with 80%+ humidity -- are just not pleasant.

I do not ride (or run) in sub-40F rain or sleet ... snow is fine. I value my...
