Nine weeks tomorrow. Here is what it looked like today. I've been leaving it unwrapped for the last week, the rest of the foot is happier that way! I just clean it once a day, put A&D ointment areound the heal d edge and honey over the wound, and still a little piece of paper towel over it, tapp...

Its looking great. Wow it takes a long time ! And i dislike those low down spots. Right at mud and manure level. Oh wow, great suggestions! Amado- if you stopped Penny Dreadful during the 2nd season, I completely understand why, but I urge you to drudge through because season 3 is quite good. I will give Penny Dreadful another go - I did stop partway through the 2nd season! (The killing is another I lost inte...

I loved Firefly! I liked the first season of Black Mirror - but the second one - so far, I've found it too depressing, not sure why. Really liked the first season of "Orphan Black" but then it lost me. Just finished the first season of Doctor Foster. Holy cow, that was intense. Made you ke...

It's not skin coming up from the bottom. there is skin growing in from the top, but not as fast as what is coming up from the bottom and side. Not sure how this will turn out, but the granulation tissue needs to get covered, and that is what seems to be happening, so I'm not worried yet.

We are building a barn, and I need to order the stall front hardware (door tracks and feed doors and the grills that you put together with the wood you buy separately ). If you have freezer space you could just bag them up and freeze them whole. Or slice and freeze. I love having stuff in the freezer that I can dump into soups and stews in the winter.

Will get some photos of the location the barn is going - we are on a hill, and I have had a large swale put in right behind the barn for drainage, so some of the doors are positioned with that (and proximity to house in winter) in mind. Depending on how the builder thinks the stairway to the loft wi...

Re: For those of you who have built little barns

The plan is to have 4 X 8 doors to both the runs and the aisle. Because of the framing, aisle will only be 11 feet wide (cement is 12), stalls will be 6 or so inches shy of 12 X 12 and 12 X 16, exactly sure (Which means I will be cutting some of my 4 X 8 rubber mats...) I need the overhang because of the weather - I want to be able to leave the stall door open so he can go in and out as he pleases, and the overhang will help keep the snow and weather (that blows in, and that also slides off the roof) far enough away from the door that the inside of the stall doesn'...

Yes, I could do that, and it might work for a few weeks - But the rest of the paddock, with the rain that we've been having, is a little wet and muddy, so the bandage would be destroyed.
