My older mare lifts her hind leg and looks at her belly if she wants her udder scratched...and she may be out in the pasture 20 feet away from me....she licks her lips when she wants fresh water...her's might be warm....or butts the water tub with her nose.

I'm hving fun with Lottie. We've done some hacking alone and in company, shipped 4 hours to spend a week riding with my neice in lessons and on the trail...she settled in right away..even though she was in heat...Lottie and I even participated in a trail clinic that was so much fun. I've been mulling this over in my mind for awhile..if I could retire I would love to have a new horse to play with....if I retire I can't afford another horse at this stage of the game,no savings and only seniors pensions so I really can't retire anyway.... If I don't continue to ride I think riding...

Just curious, are you lopsided when you stand? I was always fighting a collapsed left side, hip and shoulder..then I realized I'm the same way off the horse. I had xrays recently and have two curves in my spine . Has you chiro done x rays?

My horse has been in a small herd most of her life with no issues but last Nov she was turned out with a new mare for awhile. things were fine at first and after 3 months the new girl kicked Roxy in both knees, the right knee was bad, the injury penetrated the joint capsule...we worked hard to avoid...

I think it's meant to be chancellor, did you notice that horses sires name? It is Black Park Chancellar..!
