Re: None cantering pony competes - Input urgently sought

I agree with everyone regarding the bend and that you are doing a good job. Don't ever tell yourself that you can't ride your own horse or that someone else can ride it better. The reality is, someone out there in the world can always ride all of our horses better, but the point is that we ride them...

Hi Martha - Yes, those are common suspects, but not the culprit in his case. I clean his sheath super regularly and groom him 5 days a week. Every once in awhile he just decides to rub fanny. Alternatives to MTG?

My boy likes to scratch his fanny from time to time (not his tail, more just general backside of rump area) and usually using a little mtg helps prevent this. BUT, I hate MTG. It stinks, it leaves a residue, and it turns his coat and tail dark. So, what other products have you guys found work well f...

New developments in sticky breeches: How much more sticky?

So, I've been noticing a trend towards these high-tech grippy breeches. Back in the day I think real leather or deer skin was the end all in stick, but now it seems to be moving toward these little gripper things often made of silicone or the like. For example, Smartpak just started offering the Pip...

The piaffe isn't perfect, but if I were a bettin' gal I'd say the judges rewarded the clean transitions into and out of piaffe, the clarity and regularity of the steps, and the appearance of staying on the spot. This would elevate an otherwise meh piaffe into 7 or 7.5 territory. For example, compar...
