We only lost our power for ~24 hours last Wed/Th - and that feels like dodging a bullet when we've had it go out for as long as 5 days in the past. Re: Parrot at My Bird Feeder

When we lived in town in Seattle, we were visited by a small (it grew over the years!) flock of green conures at our bird feeder. The Seattle weather was similar to their native habitat in the Andes and a few(?) escapees were breeding at nearby Seward Park (which actually has some old growth in it)....

I like white, it lightens up a room and for me, looks "clean". We replaced a black dishwasher with a white one (and an "in wall" microwave also), and it made a huge difference in the lighting effect. We just put in a new cast iron enamal sink and used bisque for that (thought whi...

Islamic "radical" fundamentalism and ISL are not synonyms. ISL is a subset of radical fundamentalism and actively seeks (declares) to establish a caliph/caliphate and "end times". "In November, the Islamic State released an infomercial-like video tracing its origins to bin L...

The US was instrumental in the formation of ISIS when we parachuted in to Iraq, sent the Iraq military/Bathist (Sunnis) home with their arms (and no jobs) and then put a Shite (Malaki) in power who was entrenched in religious sectarianism. It's not the length of the neck which might be a problem. It's the whole package. Conformation, temperament, movement, willingness to go. I agree.
