Re: July/August Perspiration and Progress Thread
I like cross training, as it were, i do jumping hacking, and a number of not quite dressage things, so i am okay with bareback riding, especially a slip of a girl like Rosie B. If it hurts the horses back, then don't do it, but if your horse is comfortable with you on its bare back, no harm no foul....

let me third, or fourth an outside perimeter track. Around most or all the property. Yes, spread your shavings on the track, it both composts and makes for a nice trotting/ canter track. I however also improve my pasture with my shavings and manure. i compost it for a year, then i put it on the spre...

i do not think one should tilt ones pelvis more to ride bare back then one does to ride in a saddle? I guess i spent so much of my life riding bareback as a kid, but I do not feel like there is a significant change in pelvis position, my legs tend to get very relaxed bare back, but i think my back, ...

So my focus has been on consistency in the connection. I think when Kimba gets heavier in the connection it shows me when she needs better balance. So u can pause, establish balance before proceeding. Be it simple canter, or lateral movements. So I have been paying attention with the goal to improvi...

Today was jump day. Acacia with a student and Kimba with me. We did x rails, canter poles and then 2'6 small course. Kimba over jumps til she settles down. However she was definitely more rideable, not as strong as she used to get after the fence. Deneb suffered a catastrophic kick injury. We xrayed...

The number 10 pen is the name given to those who are not purchased, are cheap enough to make meat profit, and not considered likely to attract higher price at another auction. hayburner i have been told that if regumate really works then Spaying may work, if it does not help, then spaying will not either. I am not certain that hormones are the cause, so it really is a last ditch effort to solve the problem, if it does not work, then , as you say, she can find another job.

five days of quarantine is not long enough to protect anyone against anything, least of all EIA. what you have is a situation where the owner wants to keep everything low level, co dependent.
