I think she was messing with me? There was zero indication of an issue the next day or since. Horses don't "mess with" us. They simply don't think that way. There was an issue that day, and not the next. Showing her displeasure/unwillingness is the only way she has to indicate a reaction ...

Curb reins with no buckle?

Can anyone explain the reason for the way the ends of these reins are attached (lower part of picture)? There's no buckle, and the leather is sewn together and there's a keeper that holds the reins together.

You can get all kinds of responses telling about people's experiences, good and bad, with buying sight unseen, but none of them have any bearing on your decision. It's a crap shoot. I am perplexed by someone being described as n "years young." I recently read that Queen Elizabeth is "93 years young." So silly and condescending. It's even worse when someone is trying to unload a senior horse and refers to it in the ad as "22 years young." Right. Now...

Today brought out another annoyance! I have a co-worker that when she emails, she puts it in "text" language. This is business communication not texting your buddy down the street ! UGH My last boss used "gonna" and "wanna" in her business emails. Awful, just awful.

Coconut oil feels a little oily going on, but sinks in and (if you don't use too much) doesn't leave you feeling oily. I shower at night and in the morning, my skin feels soft and hydrated, not oily at all.

The hunter world is very much about style, and all the judging is subjective but not really based on a written standard. "Unconventional" tack (and even clothing, IMO) can be penalized. Judge doesn't like your rounded cantle? Boom, points off. It's one of the things I love about dressage. ...

I am also in my 70s and I would not take it as a compliment. I would find it (intentionally or not) demeaning. A 60 year old woman is not a girl. And she is not "60 years young," either.

This is weird. My reply disappeared. I would not call DeKunnfy an expert. He talks and a lot and repeats a lot of theory. He has not applied it or lived it, taught it or rode it. When I did the L program, he would say things that sounded really good in theory, but in application, they didn't work. ...

As for DeKunffy, I would never call him an expert. I knew him and he lived around here. He wrote many books and he had many theories, but little actual knowledge from practical application. He came from Hungary as an 18 year old groom and that was his big experience. This is a very odd statement. E...

Its hard to get volunteers though and we tend to have the same stalwart ones year after year. And, ironically, this is what makes other people call the GMO "cliquey." The reason they read the same names again and again is that this small percentage of the membership is doing the majority ...
