Hah! I do that one at least once a week. Well ridden transitions are the bread and butter of dressage. And if you don’t have complete control over exactly when and where they occur, your horse is not actually on the aids.

Bliss and I are back into the routine. He's not where he was before winter, but I am pleased with how he's coming back. He's feeling nicely balanced and more supple and connected than how he began the year last year.

I am longing for heat at the moment. It’s been very cold here so far this winter.

I had a good ride today though. It was about -17C or 2F with wind chill but Bliss and I were comfy. We mostly walked and did a tiny bit of easy trot. It’s been hours since I came in and my legs are still cold. Lol.

I'll second a wintec isabel for security. I used to have one years ago and it really locks you in with the suede, deep seat, and huge thigh blocks. Plus it's also economical.
