We're having wild rice and chicken soup along with a salad. It's a chilly rainy day here. I did make a lemon cheesecake with lemon curd on top and I meant for it to last 3 days; however in this house it did not.

So many of my dreams revolve around Billy. I dream of him often. One of my dreams was that I was walking to the barn and in the paddock was a big dark horse. I said, Billy what are you doing here and he said I just came by for a visit.

I would not invest any part of myself in a relationship like that. I would just take it however it comes. If she wants to talk for a minute I would talk, but I would not go out of my way for her. Closure may gradually happen and I would accept that and let it go.

Yes, I have one and use it. Makes wonderful roast chicken and braised beef. I think it would also be good for baking bread although I never have. It needs to be soaked in water before you use it.

Tonight will be a Broccoli Cheddar Quiche with my homemade crust along with a salad. I made Lemon Bars yesterday and let me tell you about these lemon bars. They are not ordinary. The recipe is from Cook's Illustrated and they are exquisite. They are a bit more work, but very worth it.

We start Thanksgiving about 2 week before Thanksgiving. I've made a Pumpkin Marble Cake, a Pumpkin Roll cake and I'm going to make a Pumpkin Pie with a Gingerbread crust among other things besides a feast of other things and Old fashion southern dressing is my very favorite.

I made a roast in my Breville Pot today. It seems to have come out well and is more tender than the traditional oven approach.

It is a chilly dreary day here so I made a roast in my Breville Pot. First time for that, but it seems to have come out well. I will make gravy with the drippings and mashed potatoes along with green beans.

I did a lot of looking and research before I bought one. I bought a Breville Fast Slow Cooker which is a lot more substantial than the Insta Pot I saw at Costco. Now I'm learning how to use it.

I am about to jump on the Instant Pot train and I wonder if it is a good fit for me. I am a cook everything from scratch kind of cook and baker. I was reading Cook's Illustrated and they say the Fagor brand is much better than the Insta Pot. What do all you cooks think?

I just can not think of her name, but she is the young woman from North Carolina so excited with her new farm. Her horse had E.P.M. and she rescued another horse. She asked a lot of questions about her farm and how to do things. I wonder if she is still around and if anyone has heard from her.

The vegetables are soon to be done for here. So tonight's dinner was salmon and a salad, but tomorrow I'm thinking of making Chinese Dumplings. They sound so good and I will make the wrappers myself.

Mine would come to me to smack horseflies off of them. They would even come galloping up from the pasture. They did lots of communicating about other things too.

We are up to our ears in fresh vegetables. I have made so many things and tonight it was shrimp and green bean stir fry. I made Shepherd's pie a few nights ago with mashed Kennebec potatoes.
