I like Julliard. I tend to like feminine names that end in "a", so I also thought of: Jacobina (J pronounced as Y) Jaffa (city in Israel) I liked Jaffa as well, but I just purchased a 3yr old stallion named Jimmy who I'm changing to "Jimmy Hoffa" as he is quite a gangster/workho...

I don't know if anyone has suggested this yet, but it is (seriously) what I did as a kid before I could ride more than once a week. Take a piece of string(twine?) the length of a set of reins. Find a comfy floor to sit on right in ront of a door that opens towards you when you sit in front of it. Ti...

Need Help Naming -"E" and "J" suggestions please!

So apparently I pick nice horses with awful names, and each of the two I need to re-moniker are from different registries. A) Westphalian branded, half holsteiner mare, "E" (Ehr-beginning preferred) this mare is bright bay, smaller than the black one, and less electric but very talented. -...

Thanks :) I have high hopes. I also bought a flip horse, a Brentano II gelding, 2nd level, for me to ride and enjoy for a bit and to put changes on and then resell. Came with new custom tack and was very low priced so was a great pickup. Black, pretty, 16hh. Very friendly.

Also adding, You do NOT need to hold your tummy muscles tight (remember when people said 'cough' to feel how tight you should hold your core?' that's wrong. I'm not sure why one can't just put hands forward? Isn't this sort of rewarding what we don't want? That's not what we are talking about, Rye. It's not an accidental thing, it's a deliberate allowing of the reins to be pulled through the hands to facilitate a temporary longer length of neck. (Or that's how I understand it!)
