Re: March-ing into 2021, and April too - Goals and progress
We are up to 45 mins walk/trot and getting back into it. Shoulder looks good, no regressing with added time. Started to add some lateral work and lenghenings. I'm in an emotional funk since my dog died so on one hand i think riding is great but I feel sad. I do feel better the more I ride, and I hav...

Re: New streaming site: Matt Harnacke HorseworldTV...comments?
I saw a lesson with Patrick Kittle and where Patrick rode his young stallion. I just can’t get past though that Patrick is of the blue tongue infamy Personally I’m extremely picky and selective about who I give my money to for learning. I just bought Mark’s in hand flexion video streaming. Even tho...

Yeah I'm sorry I'm not subscribed and I doubt I would. But I will be interested in seeing what others that are subscribed and what your thoughts are as well! I ditched it after a month, to be honest. I was not thrilled with the training of low/deep/round in 2 of the trainers. Patrik Kittel was the ...

Re: New streaming site: Matt Harnacke HorseworldTV...comments?
To be fair I haven't watched a lot of his videos. And I do think his stallion looks like he is a tricky type to ride. I just don't like the video style I think it's more entertainment than any educational stuff. right, I am asking if people have subscribed and what they think of the theory in the s...

yeah, I think this speaks to opening the hip flexors and joints vs muscles.
You have to open the hip flexors. The lumbar needs to stay in neutral spine.

I stand by the horse and hold the reins from the ground as if I was riding. I can feel the outside shoulder pop out and use the outside rein to control it. It's a fun way to see the horse from a new angle. It simplifies the aids and takes the rider out of the equation as far as being on the back and...

yeah, It amazes me that a lot of horses that I wouldn't "consider" needing wide trees usually end up in them over time with dressage. I played the saddle dance a few years ago and yes had to get a new $$ saddle but it solved my problem and has been good ever since. Even with my good saddle...
